Boxing World Championships 2023: Indian Boxer Mohammad Hussamuddin defeated North Macedonia’s Alen Rustemovski in the first round of the 57kg division in the IBF Men’s Boxing World Championship 2023 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Mohammad Hussamuddin is Double Commonwealth Games bronze medallist (57kg) recorded to win advance to the second round, while three-time National champion Varinder Singh (60kg) exit on the opening day of the World Boxing Championships 2023 in Uzbekistan.
Hussamuddin,the 29-years-old Asian bronze medallist beat the 19-years-old Alen Rustemovski of North Macedonia 5-0.
Alen Rustemovski heavily attacked with more energy and he delivered some well kicked off hooks but Hussamuddin was replied quickly to counter those in the third round.
Mohammad Hussamuddin will meet with Ping Lyu from China in the next round.
Uzbekistan’s Mujibillo Tursunov beaten Varinder Singh by 0-5 in an opening-round bout.
