In World Indoor Athletics Tour Britain player Dina Asher-Smith took part in the 60m and the 23 years old made a new world leading record in Karlsruhe, Germany.
This was her first international game after 2019 and she made her best winning time 7.08 seconds after returning from the 3 years break. In all low key club races Asher-Smith took part in just three times because of the COVID-19 pandemic situation in 2020.
In the men’s 800 m the 2016 Bronze medalist Elliot Giles won the game in world leading one minute 45.50 secs. He completes the game by leading Benjamin Robert from France and Pierre Ambroise Bosse.
According to the British record conducted by Asha Philip the winning time of Asher-Smith was 0.02 seconds and he completes fifth in Karlsruhe.
She took part in the 2019 world championships in Doha and this was considered as her last participation in international games. There she won the title of world 200m champion.
Sophie McKinna overcame her own record and cemented the third place in women’s shot put. In the women’s 3000 m Melissa Courtney grabs the third position.
In the men’s 3000m Andy Butchart completes in fourth position and he overcame his own Scottish indoor record by completing the game in seven minutes 40.85 secs.
