The Indian captain and skipper Virat Kohli return to field after the paternity break. The senior pacer Ishant Sharma will lead the pace attack in the Indian team after recovered from the injury. He will guide the team in the first two test matches against England and the declaration was made on Tuesday.
The Brisbane test match will be missed by Jasprit Bumrah and Ravichandran Ashwin due to abdominal strain and back spasms. But after taking complete rest during these periods their participation is expected in the four test series in Chennai. The test match will begin from February 5 against England.

Due to injuries many Indian players will not be available for selection. Mohammed Shami fractured his forearm, Ravindra Jadeja fractured his thumb, Umesh Yadav tear his calf muscle and Hanuma Vihari suffered from grade 2 muscle tear.

Chetan Sharma will lead the new selection committee and there will be no much surprises in the selection. The players who are fit and available in the Australian test will be automatically picked for the test match against England.
With the both test matches in Chennai the Indian team has to join the bio-bubble on January 27. For the first two matches (February 5-19 and 13-17) the BCCI choose a team with 16 to 18 member along with some net bowler.
The side strain Ishant Sharma joined the cricket match Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and was in a good form. The pace attack will be handled by three pacers Ishant Sharma with other two injured players Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj. The reserve pacers are Shardul Thakur and T Natarajan.
In 2019 during the test match against South Africa Shahbaz Nadeem was the part of the team and in the spin section Jadeja’s place can be filled by Shahbaz Nadeem. Ashwin’s presence will be available and in the slow bowling section Washington Sundar is doing his dream debut. Kuldeep Yadav is selected as the back-up wrist spinner.

Rishabh Pant and Wriddhiman Saha will be the two wicket keepers and Mayank Agarwal and KL Rahul who injured his wrist sprain are going to compete for a single place.
Prithvi Shaw was in a need to prove himself so he will be send back to the domestic cricket to show himself.
The team likes to choose Mayank Agarwal in the single place and want KL Rahul to participate in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and asked to get ready for the white ball series in March. The selection meeting will host at 5 pm IST.
