Kei Nishikori is a Japanese professional tennis player born in Matsue, Shimane, Japan. In the history of tennis he was the only Japanese player to hold a position in top 5 list rankings in Singles. In 2015 he was ranked number 4 but now he was ranked number 35 by the Association of Tennis Professionals. He won 12 Single titles totally in his tennis career. He was the first man from Asia to get selected for the ATP World tournament finals.
He was affected twice by the COVID-19 virus and he didn’t participate in US Open 2020 due to this pandemic situation.

Biography Of Kei Nishikori :
Kei Nishikori Childhood : Nishikori’s father Kiyoshi was an engineer and his mother Eri was a piano teacher. His sister completed her studies and working in Tokyo. He starts his tennis career in the age of 5 and in 2001 he won all the Japan championships for kids. He did his schooling in Aomori-Yamada High School and shifted to Florida in his 14th age to join in the IMG Academy.He also had interest in football, golf, reading and listening to music.

Carrier Of Kei Nishikori :
In 2004 he won the Riad 21 Tournament title and in 2007 he won the Luxilon Cup in the Sony Ericsson Open 2007. In 2008 he became the first Japanese player to win the ATP tournament after 16 years. He did his debut at the US Open and became the first Japanese player to reach the 16th round in US Open after 71 years.
In 2009 he was awarded as the ATP Newcomer of the year but he didn’t participate in most of the tournaments that year because he got injure in his right elbow. In 2010 he showed a fabulous performance in US Open Grand Slam. In 2014 and 2016 he reached the semi finals. In 2016 he won bronze medal in Olympics by defeating No 1 player Roger Federer and he got the fame for taking the Olympic tennis medal to Japan after 96 years.
